New Music from Brandon

My old pal Steve Leaf and I spent an afternoon at La Luna Recording & Sound a few months back and recorded some improvised ambient music live. Steve is one of Michigan's premier musical minds with his own project and Public Access - it's really a treat making music with him. You can catch us making some additional noise on 9/22 at the Earthwork Harvest Gathering! Listen here.

Happy New Year!

We hope the chilly winter weather finds everyone healthy and warm. We’ve been keeping a pretty low profile of late, but are thrilled to announce an appearance at the Kalamazoo Fretboard Festival on Saturday, March 2nd at 1PM. We’ll be joined by our friend Dan Rickabus of the Crane Wives on drums.

We’ll be playing a few select shows this summer including stops at Hoxeyville Music Festival, The City of East Lansing Summer Concert Series in support of the Clean Water Campaign for Michigan, and Earthwork Harvest Gathering. It is with great joy that we introduce Simon Muir Foote. Born in Lansing on 1-30-16 at 11:50PM. We've been getting to know this little guy over the last nine weeks and quietly settling in as a family of three.

It’s been a bizarre, challenging and beautiful year - we can’t thank you guys enough for the constant barrage of love. It’s helped in an unmeasurable fashion. After undergoing sinus surgery in February, Brandon continued to have some severe respiratory and immune function setbacks. With the council of a few different doctors, we decided it was best for him to leave his job in July to tackle the problems head-on. We’ve made some solid positive progress, but still have a good ways to go. Through all of the difficulties, music has been a constant uplifting force. In October we began working with Max Lockwood, Dan Rickabus and Seth Bernard at Ian Gorman’s La Luna Recording & Sound on what is to become our third full-length LP. The album is a throwback tribute to our Upper Midwest homeland and will likely be released in mid-2017. Thanks for the unwavering support friends - we have a few announcements coming up for what proves to be a somewhat mellow yet exciting 2016. Happy New Year! Photo by Josh Michels.
